At the Present, the James Baroud Falcon awning is the most advanced raid awning on the market. With its large wing, ultra fast installation and exceptional wind resistance, it is the ultimate solution for the adventurers who travel far away for long periods of time and want some comfort.
Under the sun, rain or snow
To protect yourself from the midday sun, to shelter from the rain at the lunch break or to offer all the comforts of a 5-star camping, the Falcon awning will be the perfect travel companion.
When the sun is too strong, the wing offers more than 10sqm of refreshing shadow, ensuring 8º of less heat compared to other awnings on the market, thanks to its aluminized fabric.
Another advantage: the wing covers the side and the rear of the vehicle. When we want to access to the vehicle trunk, we are always protected. Very convenient when it rains or snows. With the traditional awning, when it pours we have to open and close the rear door to access to the fridge, camping furniture or kitchenware.
With the Falcon awning, we can let the door opened permanently without fear of flooding the rear of the vehicle.
A real living-room
Another advantage: its exceptional living space when used as living room with the walls. The walls can be installed in less than 10 minutes. They have double mosquito nett and tinted, so it has a good protection from prying eyes. This large living area can accomodate 2 to 6 couples for lunch or dinner in good conditions. It provides the ultimate protection for great evenings with friends, whether it's raining, windy or even snowing.
Self-supporting awning
The Falcon awning is self-supporting, made of reinforced aluminium and stainless steel. When you are in a hurry for lunch, as long as there is not too much wind, you can use it without its mats and cables. However, it's always better to fix it to the ground in order to withstand wind gusts.
Falcon awning and tunnel: the first of its kind in the world!
When the Falcon awning is connected to the tunnel and this one to the tent, this gives you the biggest camping module on the market. This is a James Baroud exclusivity and you won't find similar anywhere.
The available options
Mosquito net enclosure
In Summer, in infested countries, you can attach the mosquito net to your awning to avoid the insects.
Tunnel When the living area is set up, it allows you to access the tent, by passing through the awning with protection from rain and prying eyes.
Living area
When all the walls and blackouts are in place, the living area can be used both in Summer and in Winter.
The grey canvas consists of aluminised layers that reflect the solar rays, is UV light resistant, water-resistant and permeable to air. With double seams and 100% water-resistant.
The canvas is fitted under cabling in curved aluminium guides towards the outside of the shell, ensuring a perfect waterproofing and a strong wind resistance, even with wind gusts of 120km/h. The door closes with a velcro strip for a perfect impermeability and the awning for the windows are mounted on cables and velcro to increase the protection agains wind and rain.
This roof top tent has windows/doors with a James Baroud Mosquito Net stiched right into the fabric. The Mosquito Net is made of a great resistance, it is so strong it was tested towing a 4x4 vehicle and can be used as a hammock.
All the zippers have rubber cursors, a simple system so it can be very silent even with heavy wind.
